An excellent source for dragon researchers is the scholarly work by Pamela Wharton Blanpied:

Blanpied's research apparently originates from a parallel Earth, where dragons are almost entirely wild, instead of harnessed and selectively bred as in our own world. Nevertheless, the modern dragon researcher will find much of value in this compendium.
